The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago recently made available grant funds to each of its members to support affordable housing sustainability during the COVID-19 pandemic. Washington Savings Bank received $16,000 and added $5,000 of their own to make a grand total of $21,000 in funds to donate locally. read more >>

Pack The Bus – Catholic Charities
Washington Savings Bank helped pack the bus for Catholic Charities to collect school supplies for children K-12 to be used on the Ramblin’ Rose Bus for those in need within Clark, Cumberland, Crawford, Effingham, Fayette, Jasper, and Shelby counties.
NEW! Give a Heart Fundraiser
Washington Savings Bank’s new “Give a Heart” Fundraiser was held February 1-14, 2020 to help raise Heart Health Awareness. Hearts were sold at each bank location for $1 each. 360 hearts were sold at the Effingham locations. The bank then matched the total number of hearts sold for a total of $720 raised to support the Andrew Gobczynski Big Heart Foundation.read more >>

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago recently made available $20,000 in grants to each of its members to assist small businesses and nonprofit organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
