Washington Savings Bank Wealth Management Department Administers Scholarship Funds for 2026-2027 School Year
The Washington Savings Bank Wealth Management Department is pleased to announce the awarding of $242,750 in local scholarship funds to both new and returning students for the 2026–2027 academic year.
These scholarships are made possible through the generosity and lasting commitment of local individuals, families, organizations, and businesses that have established scholarships to support higher education opportunities for area students.
Scholarships awarded this year include the Jack Shaffer Educational Fund; Mattoon Chamber Charitable Corporation Scholarship; Jacob and Clara Mae Stump Memorial Scholarship Fund; Stephen Dexter and Emily Tipton Dole Scholarship Trust; Florence Ramsey Memorial Scholarship; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3438 Scholarship; Bill Boyd Memorial Scholarship Fund; Mattoon V.F.W. Post #4325 Scholarship; and Charlie Brown Scholarship Fund.
